COLLEGE CONNECTION - Helping Former Pros Get A Start in Coaching 

 

Legends LogoThe Legends of Basketball, the organization of former NBA players, in conjunction with Bruno Sports Enterprises, is launching a program called College Connection. The goal of College Connection, which is being spearheaded by veteran collegiate athletic administrator Linda Bruno, the former Atlantic 10 Commissioner, is to help former NBA Players that are looking to enter into a coaching career get a start by placing them at the college level. The program will kick off next week at the NBA All-Star Game, which will be played on February 20th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  

 

The Legends of Basketball, also known as The National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA) strives to develop, implement and advocate a wide variety of programs to benefit its members, sponsors and the community. The NBRPA is the single most fulfilling organization tasked with the goal of assisting former professional basketball players in their future endeavors. The NBRPA, founded in 1992 by basketball legends Dave DeBusschere, Dave Bing, Archie Clark, Dave Cowens and Oscar Robertson, has a membership of more than 1,000 former basketball players of the NBA, ABA and Harlem Globetrotters. Read More
